Alec Benjamin Turns Prague into a Cozy Bedroom of Music and Memories
Alec Benjamin gave Prague a show full of laughter, goosebumps, and emotions. The American singer played ARCHA+ on March 27th and left the room with a shared sense of passion for music. The anticipation was high as the crowd cheered and waited for Alec to take the stage for his 12 Notes Tour.
Let’s Set the Scene
As the lights dimmed, the set design illuminated, revealing the look of a cozy bedroom—replicating that familiar feeling of listening to Alec’s songs in your own room, seeking comfort in his emotional lyrics. He opened the show with I Sent My Therapist to Therapy, a standout track from his latest album 12 Notes, and the crowd immediately proved they knew every word.

The set delved into some older songs, bringing a wave of nostalgia as Alec played Devil Doesn’t Bargain, If We Have Each Other, and Mind Is a Prison. The stage design perfectly blended lighting with the music, matching colors to the mood of each song, making the show even more immersive. During The Arsonist—a song about taking responsibility for causing an argument and metaphorically burning down relationships—the stage glowed in red-orange hues, resembling fire. Emotional Acoustic Rollercoaster
Further into the set, Alec performed an acoustic segment of his beloved songs, which received a warm welcome from the crowd. During Steve, people clapped along at the end; for I Built a Friend, Prague lit up the venue with their phone flashlights, creating a magical atmosphere. As Alec ended the acoustic set with Older at the piano, the audience swayed along, and glistening teary eyes reflected the song’s deep emotion.
Core Memory in the Making
His breakout hit Water Fountain seamlessly transitioned the show back from the acoustic set to the full band performance. it was a standout moment with Alec performing some of his best vocals and encouraging the crow to an electric singalong moment. Alec continued to deliver a magical experience, taking the audience on an emotional rollercoaster. Witnessing these meaningful songs performed live in such an intimate setting felt like a core memory in the making. Despite the nostalgia and sadness embedded in his lyrics, an Alec Benjamin concert is far from just an emotional experience—his humor between songs had the audience laughing, lightening the mood after even the saddest moments.

Alecs’ Anecdotes
Alec shared backstories of his songs, revealing what or who inspired them, and entertained the crowd with funny tour memories. He didn’t shy away from sharing uncomfortable or awkward situations—just as honest and open as his songwriting. One particularly amusing story was about how, while in Prague, he wanted to try the traditional Trdelník but decided instead to live vicariously through others, spending time just watching people eat them outside stores rather than getting one himself. It earned him some confused looks, but he had his fun. Somebody get him a Trdelník, please!
Fully Immersed in the Night
Even the best nights must come to an end, and Alec closed the show with more standout tracks, saving the title track 12 Notes for an emotional encore that left the entire venue in awe, flashlights glowing in unison. For one last time, the crowd swayed and sang along to his hit Let Me Down Slowly.

Final Thoughts
An Alec Benjamin concert is a dreamy journey, transporting you back to the feeling of listening to his old songs in your childhood bedroom while making new memories with his latest releases. With stunning stage design, his unique charm, and the perfect balance of emotion and humor, the night came together into a truly unforgettable experience.
