Halsey’s The Great Impersonator: An Exploration of Identity and Legacy
In an age where reinvention is the currency of artistry, Halsey has made a career of questioning, “Who am I, really?”. Her fifth studio album, The Great Impersonator, takes this question to a new level. Starting in the 1970s and moving through to the early 2000s, she wonders: “What if I had debuted in a different era? Who would I have been?” This imaginative concept allows Halsey to channel iconic artists—from Marilyn Monroe and Stevie Nicks to Britney Spears and even a younger version of herself—crafting each song as a tribute while remaining deeply personal. “It was rare I was there”: I Remember the Eras Tour All Too Well
An extensive experience… The Eras Tour is making history, and it was definitely my favorite event of the year. I was wondering, where do I even start this post? Or over one year ago where I was in the Ticketmaster queue, buying beads to make dozens of friendship bracelets or scouting every shop for clothes that could become my eras tour outfit? The Eras Tour is something so extensive that it is hard to put the experience into a few words. It is reliving girlhood surrounded by other fans going through the same thing. It is a time…

Cigarettes After Sex released the second single “Dark Vacay” of their anticipated upcoming album “X’s”. The nostalgia of wishing you appreciated the beauty while it lasted is captured in the moody soundscape, tranquil guitars and hushed vocals. Lead singer Greg Gonzalez describes the song like this: “This song is about a romance I had a few years ago. We went on tour together & were lucky enough to go to all these wonderful places, mostly having fun at first. As the tour continued though, everything started falling apart & we…
