Upcoming Album Releases In 2023
We entered the second half of 2023 and still the music announcements just keep coming. While the first half already brought us some great new albums, we will now look out to what awaits us in the next weeks and months.
Silence Between Songs – Madison Beer (15.09)
On the 15th of September Madison Beer will bring out her sophomore album Silence Between Songs. A beautiful album cover has been revealed and it matches the dreamy vibe of singles that have already been released. 5 out of 14 songs are already out and Spinning, which is also the intro, has caught my attention the most. Beer’s voice is strong as ever and I can’t wait to her the whole album and dive into the world she built in her second album.
Revamped – Demi Lovato (15.09)
We are getting our favourite Demi Lovato songs as a rock version! On Revamped the singer will bring out ten old songs of their discography with an upbeat rock vibe. Four singles have been released and while Cool For The Summer was perfectly made to be a rock song it will be interesting to see how the ballad Skyscraper will sound like in the end. But Demi has already prooved how she embodies that rock vibe in her latest music and we love the idea of seeing more of it.
Scarlet – Doja Cat (22.09)
Another album that will be released in September is Scarlet by Doja Cat. On the 22nd of the month we will hear the whole new sound of the American rapper. While there has been some chaos around the whole album release, due to changes of her album cover and debates around the way she interacts with fans, the single Paint The Town Red was still a massive success. Doja Cat is changing her whole style, musically and aesthetically so it will be a big surprise what awaits us on her new record.
Falling Or Flying – Jorja Smith (29.09)
It has been 5 years since Jorja Smiths last album release so fans are reasonably excited. On the 29th of September the British singer will bring Jazz, Sould and Rn’B closer to our hearts again. Blue Lights is the song which blew off the career of Jorja Smith back in 2018. No she released 4 singles prior to the album and already created a hit with Little Things which just keeps on playing on repeat in your head once you listen to it.
Paint My Bedroom Black – Holly Humberstone (13.10)
This album is something you don’t want to miss out on! Holly Humberstone is a British singer and songwriter with incredible talent. Since 2020 she releases songs where the lyrics hit you right in the heart. 2 EP’s followed after that and even a feature on the acoustic version of Seventeen Going Under by Sam Fender. The 3 singles leading up to her album Paint My Bedroom Black have been more than promising to a great album that hopefully finds a place in many fans hearts. The single superbloodmoon is about the idea of two people seeing the same sky even though they are far apart. Holly got singer d4vd on the track to tell a tale from two perspectives.
Something To Give Each Other – Troye Sivan (13.10)
Troye Sivan hasn’t released much music since his last album Bloom from 2018. His strong fanbase that has been with the Australian singer since his YouTube days or debut album Blue Neighbourhood are looking forward to this new era. He is talented at writing sad ballads just as much as coming up with a great pop song. Therefore, no one has been surprised that his first single Rush immediately climbed the ledder to become our favourite summer hit. No further singles have been released yet but that just makes the excitement for the 13th of October even bigger!
1989 (Taylor’s Version) – Taylor Swift (27.10)
No Blog Post without mentioning the queen of pop, right? Taylor Swift is ruling the music world this year with her massive success of the Eras World Tour, the release of her album Midnights and a rerecording of her album Speak Now that just turned into Taylor’s Version. Now another fan favourite of hers, 1989, will be released as a rerecording with 5 From The Vault Tracks we’ve never heard before. Everyone keeps guessing which artists could be featured and what awaits us in Taylor’s Version of 1989. But what is for sure is that this will just put us all back into the pop era that Taylor Swift exactly knows how to do. On the 27th of October the wait will have an end.
2023 truly brought some amazing musical works to us and will continue to do so. Those are the releases I am most excited for and I hope you found some record to watch out for as well! I can’t wait to write the recap of the whole year and look back onto all those amazing albums.
